Turnaround Fix the business fast

What a 30–60 day business turnaround plan looks like — without chaos.

Most founders try random fixes when the business feels stuck. A real turnaround plan is a sequence: diagnose → fix constraint → build systems → remove leaks → scale.

The 30–60 day turnaround plan

This plan creates momentum and stability without overwhelm.

Week 1: Diagnose (clarity first)

  • Identify the bottleneck: demand, conversion, delivery, or cash.
  • Find the top 3 profit leaks draining runway.
  • Score business health across key areas.
  • Rank the top 5 fixes by impact.

Week 2: Fix the constraint

  • One constraint controls output. Fix it first.
  • If demand: clarify the offer and message.
  • If conversion: improve qualification + follow-up.
  • If delivery: install SOPs + checkpoints.
  • If cash: remove leaks and stabilize pricing.

Weeks 3–4: Build systems + remove leaks

  • Build SOPs for the highest-impact delivery tasks.
  • Install checklists to reduce rework.
  • Remove overhead creep and low-ROI tools.
  • Fix the worst profit leaks first.

See: operations systems and Profit Leaks.

Days 30–60: Stabilize + scale

  • Track key numbers weekly (KPIs).
  • Protect priorities with weekly planning.
  • Scale what works and systemize the next constraint.
  • Prevent regression with accountability.

The biggest mistake: skipping the diagnostic

Turnarounds fail when founders treat symptoms and ignore root causes. The diagnostic ranks the constraint objectively so every fix builds momentum.
